Harmonisation of European contract law: with special emphasis on consumer law

This article reviews the current status of the harmonization of European contract law with reference to consumer contracts. Consumer law is investigated in a broader context of European Union contract law in general, including conflict of laws and possible reforms such as the Draft Common Frame of Reference as a basis for an Optional Instrument and follow-up to the Commission proposal of a Consumer Rights Directive.
